Hi, my name is Ansley Groen and I am from Houston, Texas. I am in the process of earning a B.S. in Health Promotion, as well as a Spanish minor and a certificate in public health data fluency.
My research interests include social determinants of health, nutrition, and the effects of disasters on population health. As an undergraduate research assistant for the Economic Evaluation Research Group (EERG), I have been able to participate in parts of the research process alongside knowledgeable mentors and educators. In the future, I aspire to develop sophisticated skills in data management and programming for a career in healthcare administration.
Outside of academia, I enjoy working out, trying new restaurants in Athens, and working at the Jittery Joes on campus.
